Founder Conscious DesignWe at Conscious Design Magazine would like to offer our deepest sympathy and prayers for friends and family of James.  James Moser was responsible for bringing Feng Shui to mainstream America.  He organized and orchestrated the first Feng Shui Conferences here in the US.  Many of us connected at these wonderful venues - San Diego, Palm Springs, Monterey, and Orlando.  And the International Feng Shui Guild was born at one of those conferences.  James was a master Astrologer, Feng Shui Expert, Founder of the Feng Shui Warehouse, and AIM Program Leader.

When I decided to host several Feng Shui conferences here in the Eastern part of the US, I found the task daunting on many levels.  James told me once that “The Tall Trees Catch the Wind and you have decided to become a tall tree !”  I did my best to host first class programs in the same standard that was set by James Moser. My brother Louis and I would like to acknowledge and thank James for all of his hard work.  It did not go unappreciated.  The joy, knowledge and friendships that were found at the Feng Shui Conference in Palm Springs still ring true in our hearts.  We offer our gratitude, and may you find peace in your journey.  To you in Love and Light,
Renae

Overcome Holiday Blues — Use Green

⊆ November 18th, 2008 by Jami | ˜ No Comments »

Is your holiday cheer distressed by money concerns? Wear green, the color of love, to enhance peace within yourself and encourage patience with others. According to ColorAlchemy, to prevent getting red-hot and bothered over shopping anxieties, decorate for the holidays with green candles, table cloths, and ornaments to support harmony with family and friends. Feature green accent pillows and other emerald accessories to help keep that peaceful feeling throughout the year.

Color influences everybody’s emotions. Madison Avenue marketing millionaires command its power, as do Hollywood film makers, interior designers, and every artist under the sun.  Color affects everything you think, do, and say.

Did you ever wonder why you feel so good spending time with nature? Green is nature’s color, the color of living things. Its balance of warm and cool is easy on the eye, distinguishes it as “the color of love and compassion.”

Eliminate stress and expense anxiety by gifting loved ones with handmade, live or silk evergreen wreaths (circles are symbols of togetherness and longevity). Instead of traditional red accents, which may cause impatience, use blue (green’s partner) for more natural inspiration. Just like the color of a crisp, springtime sky, add blue silk flowers, bows, or ornaments for more tranquility.

Spend fewer greenbacks by personalizing handmade gifts with the feel-good aspects of color for everyone on your list. Make custom, colored gifts with specific loved ones in mind.

Think eco-green when creating your gifts to be responsible for the environment at the same time. Do you have any garage-sale treasures that you collected to re-color and re-new? (With a five-dollar investment, a little bronze paint, and tapered-green candles, I converted a rusty candelabra into a one-of a-kind beauty.) Have fun exploring dollar stores, bazaars, and flea markets as colored gems are eager for discovery.

All colors have special life-enhancing benefits. Consider these ideas to get started:

Red/Excites and energizes: Fill a red container with cookies to sweeten the most seasoned sourpuss.

Orange/Inspires play and spontaneity: Make a small, whimsical orange-flower arrangement to brighten a work-aholic’s desk.

Yellow/commands confidence: Bead a yellow bracelet with special charms for timid children, friends, or co-workers.

Green/lovingly nurtures: Present an IOU with the gift of quality time. Show up with a picnic basket and head off to sit beneath a wise, old tree.

Blue/clears the mind and is thought provoking: Gift your favorite water and sky picture (that you took yourself) in a frame.

Indigo/inspires insight: Make a gift card for an evening walk in the country to count shooting stars.

Violet/quiets and deepens inner peace: Sew an eye pillow in luxurious purple fabric filled with dried lavender.

Need more help delivering thoughtful gifts without breaking the bank? Wear blue to have clear ideas or orange to have fun in your creative process.

Get everyone involved in a colorful, stressless season. Have a gift-making party. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure holds the ultimate creative opportunity for holiday festivity. Ask friends and family to bring recyclable objects and their colorful ideas to share, re-create, and re-gift to each other. It is impossible to be stressed when thinking loving thoughts or being surrounded by the people you love.

Beyond House Clearing & How To Videos

⊆ October 1st, 2008 by Jami | ˜ No Comments »

I have been working with color since I was three years old and that’s why I know that after experiencing the ColorAlchemy event, you’ll never go back to living in black and white!
While my experience with all the experts was wonderful and I still have gems to discover from all their color secrets, what happened with Ranoli (HeartAndHomeHealing.com ) blew my mind!
Ranoli holds a Ph.D. in metaphysical studies and is a certified Heart and Soul Practitioner of the Institute of Multidimensional Cellular Healing.
Afterward we taped a video at her Colorado home, I told Ranoli that we were having trouble selling a house in Miami. She did a long distance clearing and discovered that someone had put a “curse” on me to sabotage everything I do. (No matter how much you try to have the sincerest intentions, you can’t please everyone!) Being the skeptic, I gave Ranoli 3 names and she was able to identify the guy who bought our previous house (who was the only person that my husband and I could think of that could do such a thing). Ranoli taught me how to clear my karma with him (and its on the video) and do a fire clearing that was different than I’ve done before.
Ranoli “checked in with the powers” and the house is now clear to welcome the right buyer. That was two weeks ago. Frustrated in this challenging market, at least I surrendered and stepped out of the way with no attachment to the outcome. I am focusing my attention on illuminating the world with color and I am “allowing” the knock on the door - all doors! All possibility! There is no doubt I feel lighter and excited!
Wow, it is amazing what you’ll learn about color, your life, and most importantly, the process to grow your life. Live in Living Color!
Enjoy Ranoli’s videos that features how to do an energetic space clearing and remember to register for the ColorAlchemy Web Conference for another 20 experts! Ranoli’s clearing videos are Part 1, 2 & 3

Reduce your recycle by 90% and save $$$

⊆ August 25th, 2008 by Jami | ˜ No Comments »

Before you say, OK, so she stopped recycling, that’s NOT how I did it!

First I hope you are eco-conscious as I am! I am thrilled about 2 easy life changes I made and saw that my recycle bin was almost empty. This simple solution saves money, improves health, and not only reduces plastic usage, it reduces the energy consumption to recycle plastic.

All I did was purchase a water bottle that’s BPA-free available at sporting-goods stores ($14) and a purifier ($26), that’s $40! Depending on the bottled water you purchase (we bought 24 bottles for $6 and spent $24 a month), you can recoup your investment in less that 2 months.

Additionally, I finally kicked my “aspartame habit” with diet soda. No more leached aluminum in my body or cans to grow landfills.

What is 10% of you did the same thing? What is 20%, 30%, 40? Just think!
