My most importnat magic moment happened on a deck of a trailer, filled with people. Actually, I was not the only one who shared the moment. My ex-husband was a very abusive man. So I divorced him, with a long battle over my children. I even took my children with me to a womens battered shelter. The California police came to the shelter and took my boys back to their father, his family had money. I took my boys again from him and went to a diffrent state. The courts told me if I didn’t sign, for my boys to go back with there father, I was going to be facing jail for kidnapping my own children. After, I had told them about my hunsband’s abuse, the drugs all of it, they still gave my boys back to him. I belive that his idea was, if he had my boys, then I would come back. I didn’t feel I deserved that abuse any further. I felt wronged! I lost my two sons to that man and his family, when they were only 1 and 2 years old. All comunication to them was lost. About 15 years later, my sons were 16 and 17 years old. My mom called me and told me my sons where at her home. I was living in a diffrent state. I tearfully talked to them on the phone, with them asking me to come to them right away. I jumped on the road and went to see them for the first time. When I arrived I had to face my ex-husband again to see my sons. All my family supported me and met me there. When I got to my ex-husbands home, I was told to wait on the pourch. I turned around and my boys were standing there. I grabbed and the three of us hugged. At that moment not a voice could be heard, there was not a bird chirp, not a cricket sound, nothing, the air was silent. After we where done hugging everyone could not stop talking about that magic silence that happend. I could not stop talking about my sons. It is in my prayers, that my sons did not become their father.

I went to the animal shelter with my daughter to chose a kitten, we had read in the paper that they had too many and would have to put some down so we rushed in to get one. There were lots of lovely kittens but my daughter spotted a lovely grey one. Well the minute the lady handed over the little grey one over to me he started to purr and snuzzled his head into my arms he seemed so comfortable with me and I instantly felt calm. We’ll take this one I said. When we took him home we called him Casper.

Whenever he was around he made everyone happy even people that didn\’t like cats thought he was adorable. He had such a beautiful aura around him. He was also very clever and used to ring the door bell to go in and out of the house. My daughter went through a very hard time at school but no matter what mood she was in when she came home Casper would always make her laugh or smile and he did the same for each member of our family. He was such a beautiful cat.And although he is now gone. I feel he was an angel sent to make us happy in our hardest time.

My magical moment is just like any other magical moment that any could share. It was when I found myself and realized I am different than those around me. As a landscaper I deal with nature on a daily basis, whether I am cleaning, trimming, prunning I find myself always trying to beautify the scenery around us. One day as I was walking around and looking at the work that needed to be done I looked at an old cedar tree and thought I heard it talk to me. I laughed inside as I thought I must be crazy thinking this and I heard it again. It said it was going to rain the next day and sure enough it rained. I went back to this old tree and looked at it in amazement as it were then I realized that nature will speak to us if we listen closely. That is about as magical as it gets with me even though it may sound a bit foolish but the truth is the truth and a day I will always hold within me.
