How can I mitigate an unfavorable office desk direction?

My office desk faces South-West, which is my second worst direction (my Kua number is 9).  I can not change the direction of my desk since it is partly attached to the wall.  I can move my computer so that it faces North (my fourth best direction), however, my back would be diagonally facing the door.  Is there any way I can correct this?  Is there any items or elements I can put in my office to correct this?

Thank you Jami!

First and very importantly, thanks for saying thank you—hardly anyone does and being appreciative, with a simple thank you, creates happiness…so I thank you!

I would sit on the diagonal, facing your 4th best direction, assuming it has a good water star too…and put a small mirror in front of you so when your eyes gently lift, you can see who approaches.

Yes, I LOVE working with the elements in a decorative way, but they don’t help this time.

    Jami,
Thanks once again for your quick reply. I am not a practioner of Feng Shui but know enough to want to comply with the rules, so I really do appreciate being able to get help in this manner.

In terms of the Flying Stars, I’m afraid I do not know how to appy the rules. From my quick research on the Internet, it seems like my office building is Period 8 (just built this month) and faces SW (230 degrees). My office sits in the SE part of the office building. Do I then look at the grid that is on the SE of the Flying Star chart or the North since my computer faces North? Using SE, the water star is 4 - I believe and using N, the water star is 1. So, depending on which one I apply, the water star may or may not be good. Would you be able to tell me which one is appropriate to use?

Also, my BaZi (or eight characters) has plenty of water and therefore, I’ve been told that I should avoid the North direction. If I were to follow this, my only option now is to face West, which is my third worst direction. Any thoughts you may have will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again,
    Emily
